INFORMATION

SUMMARY

I'm building an electric car, not completely from scratch but by converting an existing, 1972 Porsche 914. From my EV Alblum page:

LocationSunland, California US map
Vehicle1972 Porsche 914
Purchased running, from craigslist for $2500, with the
intention of converting to electric.
Motor Azure Dynamics/Solectria AC24LS 3-Phase AC
This is the slightly newer model, which has a little higher
torque than its predecessor, but a little less efficiency.
DrivetrainOriginal, stock manual transmission, now coupled to AC24LS
electric motor.
Controller Azure Dynamics/Solectria DMOC 455 II
Batteries18 US Battery 8VGCXC, 8.00 Volt, Lead-Acid, Flooded
System Voltage144 Volts
ChargerZivan NG3
110VAC input. Seemed more useful to me to be able to
charge in more places. All public electric charging stations
don't have regular outlets anyway.

Instrumentation* 0-100% SOC (State of Charge)
* 6-16V Aux Battery Volts
